The staff and students of Eel Ground School would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving weekend. Our school will be closed Monday for the holiday as well as on Tuesday for Professional Development Day. Students will return to school on Wednesday. School pictures will be taken on Wednesday.

The Grade 7 Provincial Literacy Assessments take place the week of October 22. We ask that all students are well rested and attend school that week for their exams.

This Thursday, October 4, Eel Ground School will be hosting National Sports Day.We will be having a Lacrosse instructor come to our school and will be conducting clinics for Grades 3-8 at the following times: 9:00am-10:15am Grades 3/410:30am-11:50am Grades 5/612:45pm-1:40pm Grade 7!:40am-2:30pm Grade 8Clinics will take place outside at the ballfield weather permitting.

The Eel Ground School Home and School Association held their elections last week. Annie Mae Simoneau was elected President. The Vice President is Tobi Russo and the Secretary/Treasurer is Lana Joss. Their next meeting will be on October 4th at 6:30pm at the school.

Tomorrow the Grades 3-4 and 5 will be leaving at 8:30am on a field trip. They will be going to Kouchibouquac National Park. Lunch will be provided but the students are advised to bring their own snack.

The Student Council held their election last week. Jonah Simon was named President and Angel Romeo was named Vice President. The Council are presently selling tickets for Principal for the Day. Tickets are 50 cents and will be on sale all this week during the noon hour.
