The votes were cast and we have a winner! After a month of non shaving our male staff gathered in the gym with our staff and students where Mr. Movember was crowned. Mr.Hawkes, Mr.McKay, Mr.Gray and Mr. Canistro campaigned for votes and the students cast their vote by applause. After the first round it came down to Mr Canistro and Mr.Gray. Despite a protest by Mr.Gray of unfair hair growth methods, Mr. Canistro received a round oM thunderous applause and was named the first ever Eel Ground School's Mr.Movember.

Our Literacy Night was a huge success! Famed author Sheree Fitch was a special guest at our school. She shared stories and poems from several of her books. She was surprised by a video of our students reading stories from her books, as well as artwork on the walls of our gymnasium. As part of the night draws were made for gift certificates from Books Inn. Thank you to all who attended the night celebrating the joys of reading.
