Great way to start the day.This morning our students and staff were brought over to the Band Hall for a special assembly.Chief George Ginnish spoke on the importance of family and not giving up on your dreams. He then told of how the community have been trying to get a new school and that yesterday he got a phone call. that phone call was the approval of a new school for Eel Ground First Nation! We, the staff and students, would like to thank Chief Ginnish and council for all their hard work and determination in making this wish come true!
WEEK #4: Food Safety at Lunch TimeTips for Keeping Lunch Safe:Always wash hands before preparing or eating lunch. This is the one of best ways to prevent food spoilage and contamination. Keep cold foods cold. Keep hot foods hot. Clean all lunch boxes, thermal bags, plastic utensils and containers in hot soapy water. Next week Eel Ground First Nation School will be holding their annual Winter Carnival. There will be dress up days all week, a floor hockey tournament and activity days on Thursday and Friday. Eel Ground is also hosting Family Week next week.
WEEK #3: Drinks – Keeping Lunch Healthy
Dietitians of Canada recommends:Children 1 to 8 years old get 6 cups of fluid per day. 9 to 13 years old girls should get between 8-9 cups per day. 9 to 13 year old boys should get between 10-13 cups per day.
