Eel Ground First Nation's School will be closing at 11:45am on Wednesday, April 17th. This is due to the funeral of Muriel Francis. The bus will be dropping off all students. The school will also be closed on Friday, April 19th for a Professional Development day.

Close but just short! The girls volleyball team suffered their first loss of the season losing a close 3 sets to 2 match to Harkins Middle School. The girls had been undefeated on the season. They will try to get back to their winning ways next Wednesday, when they play Harkins second team.

Our Grade 8 class spent Monday afternoon at Miramichi Valley High School. The students were partnered up with alumni from Eel Ground First Nations School and attended classes with the students. Our Grade 8's were also given a tour of the school by Mr. Sweezey and met with the Principal Mr. Wood.
The Girls Volleyball team will continue with their strong season today when they travel to Harkins after school. So far the team coached by Mrs.Harris and Mrs. K. Francis are undefeated this season.
As part of their physical education class, the Grade 5/6 class has been introduced to canoeing. Mr. MacKinnon from Anglophone North School District atteneded the classroom for canoeing theory,safetly and paddling demonstartion. On Friday, the students will be going to MVHS pool for the morning to practice.Students must bring swimwear, towels,etc. to change at MVHS. The students will be traveling by bus to and from MVHS.
