This morning our school joined many  schools and First Nation people across Canada, on a march supporting culturally based equity for First Nations children. Our school, was joined by several community members including Chief Ginnish, as we walked through Eel Ground and then mailed letters to the Prime Minister and our local MLA. We are hoping to get a new school as ours is now to small for the amount of students we have enrolled..Please sign a petition that is going around the community. So far the  national walk has had 5323 walkers involved.

The dreams of First Nations Children Matter Too! First Nations children should not have to fight for services all other Canadians enjoy. Give First Nations children the same chance to grow up safely at home, get a good education,be healthy, and proud of their cultures. Join Eel Ground School,Monday at 10:30am as we will have a peaceful protest for a new school. Everyone is invited to march with us to bring awareness of the need of a new school!
