This week we only got outside one day, however it was an epically long and fun day - 4 hours of outdoor play!!! We took a break from the puddle jumping and focused on playing in the woods and the children have established a base camp. As we played, the kids were also discovering little nooks and crannies of play spaces. They made "stairs", moved branches and gathered rocks. The kiddos even found this large circular piece of concrete, rolled it out of the bush and with the help of Mary-Dale and Mrs. Dunnett, placed it in our camp and the kids quickly got to work making a fire pit. Rocks were found and placed around the pit and meals were planned. Sounds like we have big plans for our base camp in the future.
