Sorry for the late note, we had a late staff meeting! L/A - Fill in your heart map to the point of busting! If you have one full heart, start another.  Write down everything you love.  Don't worry if it's too narrow or specific,we'll fix that later. Math - expand all of these expressions using the distributive property: (the first four are done for you) 2(x + 10) = 2x + 205(a + 1) = 5a + 510(f + 2) = 10f + 206(12 + g) = 72 + 6g8(8 + y)5(s + 6)3(9 + p)4(11 + r)7(g + 15)9(7 + h)

all students had their math tests returned to them today.  They have until Thursday to correct any errors and resubmit the test to me.  The test will be regraded and the average of the two marks will be kept. For example, if your original score was 80% and you corrected all your errors and resubmitted your test, your new score would be 100%.  The average of these two marks is 90%, this is the final mark in the grade book.   Don't miss this opportunity to improve your grade!

A number divided by -5 is 7. 7. Solve each equation.  Verify the solution. a. n/4 + 3 = 10b. m/3 - 2 = 9c. 13 + x/2 = 25d. -9 + s/2 = 2 8. Solve each equation.  Verify the solution. a. p/-3 + 9 = 3b. t/-6 +12 = 18c. -24 + w/5 = -29d. -17 + e/-7 = -8 9. For each sentence, write an equation.  Solve the equation to verify the number. a. Add 1 to a number divided by -3 and the sum is 6b. Subtract a number divided by 9 from 3 and the difference is 0.c. Add 4 to a number divided by -2 and the sum is -3. L/A - Complete the writing piece you are currently working on for Thursday.   We will revise on Thursday and type them on the laptops.  If you have a flash drive to save your work on, bring it with you.  This will be a major mark for your writing this term.
