The Eel Ground School Drama Club returned Wednesday night from the Provincial Drama Festival in Fredericton. They performed their play "The Sleepover" Monday evening and had a great show. On Wednesday the festival handed out its awards. Bradley Denny received an award for outstanding actor! Great job Bradley.The play also received an award for "Great Dance Breaks" and also use of original material. the students had a great time at the festival and we are very proud of their work! The School's Drama Club performed their play The Sleepover at the N.B. Drama Festival in Fredericton yesterday. The kids did a great job and received very good reviews from the judges. We are all very proud of the students and thank you to everyone who helped make this trip possible!
The Eel Ground School Drama Club presents "The Sleepover" Thursday evening at the school gymnasium. This is the play they will be performing at the Drama Festival in Fredericton. Tickets are $7.00 available at the door. Showtime is at 7pm.
The Mango Diabetes journey will take place on Tuesday May8th and Wednesday May 9th. The Grades 5 to 8 will be going to the Band Hall from 10:00am until 12:00pm. On Wednesday they will be in the following classrooms: *K-4 at 9:00am *K-5 at 9:30am *Grade 1-2 at 10:30am *Grade 3-4 at 11:00am
There will be no school at Eel Ground First Nations School today, Wednesday April 25th, in the afternoon due to a funeral in the community. Also this Friday is the last Friday of the month so there will also be half a day with school being dismissed at 11:45am.
Former NHL hockey player, Theo Fleury will be here on the Miramichi for a presentation to all middle level students of District 16 and affiliated First Nation schools regarding drug abuse prevention and prevention of sexual abuse. This event will be held Friday, June 01st, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Miramichi Civic Centre.

announce that our fish friends in grade 1-2 are soon coming out of their stage
and will soon be going into their salmon par stage. They are eating twice a day and now we are noticing that some are swimming towards the food. It is very exciting! Stop by and see them today.
On Wednesday May 2, Dr. David Bardsley will be speaking at James M. Hill High School from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased here at the school. Dr. Bardsley is the author of the book "the less than Perfect Child." He was misdiagnosed with mental retardation at the age of 6.With the never-ending support of his parents, he went on to become an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. A must see for parents and educators!
Friday the girls volleyball team will be playing at Dr. Losier Middle School in the Volleyball Jamboree. A schedule will be sent home with the girls when it becomes available. The girls had a great season finishing third. We wish them good luck on Friday!
