The girls JV volleyball team played Harkins Grade 6 team and won three sets to two. The girls continue their impressive season tonight when they play the Harkins Grade 7 team. Good luck Girls!
Eel Ground First Nations School will be closed Monday morning due to a death in the community. The school bus will be picking up kids 12:25 and classes will begin at 12:45.
The world is observing the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and our Grade 5-6 class is presently studying about the great ship. Mr. McKay and his class are reading books,doing worksheet activities, watching video clips and having discussions about the famous ship. The students are very interested in this study.

We have a chance to have four lacrosse teams come to the Fredericton area and put on exhibition games, after the games they will be putting on clinics for the youth to show them how to throw the ball, catch the ball and basically get them interested into the game of lacrosse. The grade 7-8 class will be traveling to N-B-C-C Wednesday April 11th. The students will be visiting the animation department at the college and will get a first hand look at how it works and some of the great animation that has been produced by students of the program.
School District 16 and community partners will be hosting a "Go Girl Festival". The festival will be held at MVHS on Wednesday, May 30th.They are currently seeking a school champion from each school.They will be responsible to help advertise this event and recruit participants as well as attend the day with the girls to supervise. the champion must be named by April 18th. Last year almost 250 girls participated.
