March for a New School

Posted: June 11, 2012

This morning our school joined many  schools and First Nation people across Canada, on a march supporting culturally based equity for First Nations children. Our school, was joined by several community members including Chief Ginnish, as we walked through Eel Ground and then mailed letters to the Prime Minister and our local MLA. We are hoping to get a new school as ours is now to small for the amount of students we have enrolled..Please sign a petition that is going around the community. So far the  national walk has had 5323 walkers involved. To find out more about the "Our Dreams Matter Too" campaign, check out their website at http://www.fncaringsociety.com/our-dreams-matter-too.
