Eagles Fly High at Jambouree

The Eel Ground Eagles Elementary Soccer Team wrapped up their season on a winning note at the year end Jambouree on Thursday, October 17th. Game 1 saw the Eagles lose a heart-breaker losing 1-0 on a last minute goal to NSEE. Rodnet Hanifan had a strong game in goal for the Eagles. In Game 2, the Eagles played their best game of the year. Trailing Blackville 1-0 late in the game, Rodney Hanifan tied it up to send the game to penalty kicks.Marcus Martin scored on the first penalty kick and Aiden Augustine shut the door between the pipes giving the Eagles their first win of the season.In the final game of the tournament the Eagles carried the momentum from Game 2 and defeated Millerton 6-0. Preston Francis scored two goals while Marcus Martin, Rodney hanifan, Ty Ward and Kohen Simonson each had one. Kaido Simonson and Seth Ginnish shared the shutout in net.This was a great soccer season for the boys and girls at Eel Ground School. A big thank you to our coach Ryan Somers and to the parents for helping with drives. Our school is very proud, WAY TO GO!
